We have been involved with Rosa’s from the very first Restaurant. The design of each restaurant evolves from the last. The original Rosa’s was a well known, traditional cafe in Spitalfields opened in the 1950’s. Our client took over the cafe and used it as the first in a small family of Thai restaurants.
This, the latest Rosa’s is intended to reflect this heritage. The design refers to history but realised in a modern way. The wall paneling and settle benches are formed from abstracted ogee moldings; the floor, a Battenberg pattern, is laid in terrazzo and the lighting is the classic ball type. We feel our design comes from a London tradition and enhances its unique character.
